At Cretan Gea, cooking does not begin in the kitchen. It begins in the garden. The olive oil we use comes from our own olive trees. Vegetables and wild greens are harvested directly from the garden. Aromatic herbs are picked fresh, just before they go into the pot. At the same time, many of the products we use come from local producers of our region people who cultivate the land with respect for nature and tradition. Here, every dish has a story. Every ingredient has its origin. And every experience is a return to the authentic Cretan way of life. At Cretan Gea, we don’t simply learn how to cook Cretan food. We live the process from the land to the plate. Through Cretan cooking classes, traditional activities, connection with nature and local arts, we share the knowledge and philosophy of a life rooted in respect for nature, food, and tradition.

I was born in a beautiful village in Crete; nourished by the tradition of my place and the harsh lifestyle of the village people. Until I was ten years old we didn't even have electricity; our light came from a kerosene lamp and an oil lamp, we cooked on the fire with wood... I learned from a young age to cultivate the land, to weave and to actively participate in all family tasks. I love Crete, the way of life of its people and I wish to highlight the inspiring tradition from Minoan Crete until today.
I come from a family that is inextricably connected to the Cretan land. I have deep knowledge and specialized studies on the cultivation of the land and the production of agricultural products, traditional cooking, as well as on the balance of the ecosystem and man’s effect on it. I really like Cretan cuisine, with its rich flavors and aromas, and I have always been inspired by Minoan Crete and its rich tradition. I enjoy cooking for my friends and offering them the pleasure of well-cooked food that comes from the heart. It is a great pleasure to share my knowledge of the cooking and nutritional secrets of my country.
I was born in Crete, in a blessed land, with a rich tradition in culture, music, celebration, dance, songs and delicious cuisine. I was brought up in a family in which I learned, from an early age, to appreciate the rich local cuisine: a cuisine with a wondrous balance of flavors and aromas, resulting from the wise use of the abundance of products that the Cretan land offers and which allows its inhabitants a healthy symbiosis with their natural environment from Minoan times until the present day. My wish is to help bring forward the rare aesthetic harmony of Minoan culture and cooking.
I am a fitness trainer, who had the fortune of growing up with strong stimuli from the tradition of Crete. I have a deep adoration for nature. I enjoy the refreshing coolness of the sea, as well as hiking the mountain trails; activities that reconnect me with the power of mother earth. And to round it all up, good food comes to complete the pleasure and joy of life.
I am a dedicated high school teacher specializing in Tourism Studies, with a strong passion for travel and cultural exchange. Before entering education, I worked for many years as a hotel receptionist and have been actively involved in the short-term rental accommodation sector for the past nine years, hosting guests and ensuring they enjoy memorable experiences. My optimistic, hospitable, and mild-mannered personality allows me to easily connect with people from all backgrounds. With deep knowledge of the tourism sector, I am well-versed in the cultural, historical, administrative, financial, and local life aspects of the area.
I grew up next to my mother, all the while learning about the flavors and secrets of authentic traditional cuisine. Today, through her cooking classes, we continue this beautiful tradition together, transmitting far more than just recipes: memories, scents and a love for good food. At the same time, I work in the field of public health as a health and food inspector, combining my love of cooking with knowledge and experience in food safety and healthy eating. My goal is to bridge the past with the present — with flavors that honor tradition, but also respect the rules of hygiene and food safety.
